Reception to celebrate the pro bono work of UK law firms

The Lord Speaker, Baroness Hayman, kindly gave permission for the Group to hold a reception in the River Room of the House of Lords. This event, sponsored by Linklaters, was held to celebrate the pro bono work undertaken by UK law firms, that is, legal advice or representation provided by lawyers to individuals and community groups who cannot afford to pay and where public funding is not available. The guest speakers at the event were: Dominic Grieve QC MP, the Attorney General; Kathryn Ludlow, Linklatersí Pro Bono Global Partner; and Baroness Scotland of Asthal, the Shadow Attorney General.
