APCRG Annual Lecture - 2015
4 Nov 2015 17:00-18:30
Committee Room 11, House of Commons
Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, gave the APCRG Annual Lecture on Wednesday 4 November. Although he touched on the issue of businesses paying their “fair” share of corporation tax, the main theme of Mr Johnson’s remarks was the importance of companies paying the Living Wage. He emphasised that this was not just a matter of companies treating their employees fairly, but that there is a strong business case for companies who can afford to do so to pay their Living Wage. The APCRG members present enjoyed his passionate espousal of the case for the Living Wage and his responses to questions.
